The final method that we’re going to be showing you is with AirDrop. This is the least effective method but if you don’t have access to any of the programs that we’ve shown you above, using this method will still get the job done.

#2 – Next, launch the “Photos” application. Tap on the album which contains the photos that you want to have transferred.
Note: if the photos that you want to transfer are in multiple albums, it’s a good idea to copy them all into a new folder to make this process faster.
#3 – Tap on the “Select” button at the top right and select all of the photos which you want to transfer.
#4 – After you’ve selected all of the photos, tap on the share icon at the bottom left of the program, select “AirDrop“, and tap on your iPad from the list of available devices.
#5 – In just a few minutes, all of your photos will be transferred from iPhone to iPad.
As we said above, if you want to learn how to send photos from iPhone to iPad then this method isn’t ideal, but it gets the job done. Keep in mind that the AirDrop feature isn’t available on devices which don’t have iOS 7 or above installed.
Deciding Which Method to Use
We’ve discussed 4 of the best methods which you can use when you’re looking at how to send photos from iPhone to iPad, so it’s only natural that you’re curious about which method you should use. Below we are going to be discussing each program and why you should use them for data transfer.
dr.fone for iOS. dr.fone is without a doubt the best program to use for transferring your photos from iPhone to iPad. In fact, if you’re looking to transfer any data between devices then we highly recommend using dr.fone. This program allows you to transfer data selectively, take backups, restore backups if need be and comes with a wide range of additional features for its users to use. Some of these features include:
- Transfer all of your data from an old device over to a new device.
- Explore all of the files which are saved on your iOS device using the “File Explorer” feature.
- If you have an Android device then with dr.fone, you can remove all of the Android limits using the “One-Click Root” feature.
- dr.fone – Phone Manager (iOS) is the perfect iTunes alternative. Not only can you take backups of your device’s data but if you need to, you can restore those backups. You can also selectively take backups!
FoneTrans. Unlike the other two programs, FoneTrans is a program which is primarily developed around data management, and all of the features which are included are also based around data management. From photos to music to podcasts and even audio books: FoneTrans lets you transfer any data type between devices.
- Easily transfer any of the data which is stored on your iOS device. Regardless of the data type, FoneTrans can transfer the data without a problem.
- Not only is FoneTrans the best program for transferring data, but it is also the best program for selectively transferring data between two iOS devices.
AnyTrans. The final third-party program that we’ll be discussing is AnyTrans. Regarding learning how to send photos from iPhone to iPad, this program allows you to do so perfectly. With it, you can transfer photos based on the album that they are stored in, whether the photos are in your “Photo Stream”, or even if your photos are currently in the “Photo Share” folder. Some of the additional features which this program provides its users with access to are:
- The “Clone Device” feature allows you to duplicate all of the data which is stored on one device and copy that data onto a new device.
- If you have data stored on a device which you don’t want to lose, but you want to copy data from another device, the “Merge Device” feature ensures that you don’t overwrite existing data.
- As well as being able to transfer photos, you can also transfer videos, music files, podcasts, or even your app data.
AirDrop. While this is the one method that we don’t suggest doing, if you don’t have access to a computer then this is the method which is worth using. This method allows you to directly transfer data between two iOS devices while using the device, but you may find that you have to use the method several times in order to transfer all of the photos that you want to be transferred. One downside to this method is that if your device is installed with an iOS version below iOS 7, then you won’t be able to do this.
When you’re trying to transfer photos or any data for that matter, there are plenty of third-party programs which will help you to do so. The three programs which we’ve shown you today are effective and include several other features which are useful for iOS users. One thing’s for sure; we don’t recommend using AirDrop as it is an ineffective method. Now that we’ve shown you how to send photos from iPhone to iPad, it’s time for you to give it a shot for yourself!
