Using your iPad to take photos is incredibly useful. Not only are iPads equipped with high-quality cameras which capture photos at a high resolution but they also have large storage space – meaning that you can take as many photos as you like without having to worry about your storage being filled up. However, if you want to show your friends the photos that you have taken, then it is easier for you to transfer photos from iPad to iPhone X, or even Transfer Photos from Mac to iPhone X and show them on your mobile phone instead.
Part 1. How to Transfer Photos from iPad to iPhone X with dr.fone – Phone Transfer
To start off, we are going to show you how you can use dr.fone – Phone Transfer to transfer photos from iPad to iPhone X. This is the method which we recommend using as it is the most efficient method out there.
Step #1 – First, download and install dr.fone on your computer.
Step #2 – After dr.fone is installed, launch it to begin and connect both your iPad and your iPhone X to your computer using the appropriate USB cables.
Step #3 – From the main menu of dr.fone, click on the “Phone Transfer“.
Step #4 – On this menu, select the “Photos” data type from the menu which is shown.
Step #5 – Before proceeding, make sure that your iPad is the source device. If it isn’t, then click on the “Flip” button at the top of the program.
Step #6 – Lastly, click on the “Start Transfer” button at the bottom of the program.
Step #7 – The transfer process should only take a few minutes (unless you have a lot of photos) and after a few minutes, you will have successfully used dr.fone to transfer data from your iPad to your iPhone X.
You can also adjust this method by selecting other data types which you want to be transferred at the beginning of the process.
By following each of these simple steps, you can learn how to transfer photos from iPad to iPhone X in just a few minutes. On top of this, whenever you use drfone you are also getting access to a lot of other helpful features – some of which we’ll show you later in this article.
Part 2. How to Transfer Photos from iPad to iPhone X with AirDrop
Now, if you don’t have access to dr.fone-Switch, then there are other options available for you to use. By following the steps below, you are able to use the AirDrop iOS feature to transfer photos from iPad to iPhone X.
Step #1 – On your new iPhone X, unlock it if necessary and swipe upwards to reveal the Control Centre.
Step #2 – Once you are in the Control Centre, tap on the “AirDrop” feature and select “Everyone” from the menu which is shown.
Step #3 – Next, take your iPad and launch the “Photos” application.
Step #4 – Tap on the “Select” button at the top-right of the app and tap on all of the photos which you want to have transferred to your iPhone X.
Step #5 – Once you have selected them, tap on the share icon at the bottom-right of the display.
Step #6 – At the top of the menu which is displayed, select your iPhone from the AirPlay menu at the top of the list.
Step #7 – Back on your iPhone X, you will receive a notification prompting you to accept the file transfer. Click on the “Accept” button.
Step #8 – The photo transfer process will now begin, and after a few minutes, you will be able to find all of your iPad’s photos on your iPhone X.
One downside to this method is that you have to make sure that both of your iOS devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. If they are not, then you won’t be able to transfer photos from iPad to iPhone X. Another downside is that if you have slow Wi-Fi speeds, then the transfer process will take much longer than if you used dr.fone – Phone Transfer.
Part 3. How to Transfer Photos from iPad to iPhone X with Photo Stream
The last method, which again isn’t as effective as using dr.fone – Switch to transfer photos from iPad to iPhone X, will be using Photo Stream.
Step #1 – Start off by making sure that you are logged into the same iCloud account on both your iPad and your iPhone X, and that iCloud is enabled.
Step #2 – On your iPhone, launch the “Settings” application, tap on the “iCloud” option, and tap on the “Photos” option.
Step #3 – From here, make sure that the “My Photo Stream” option is enabled. If it isn’t, you should simply tap on the slider to enable it.
Step #4 – On your iPad, go ahead and launch the “Settings” application, tap on “iCloud” followed by “Photos”.
Step #5 – Again, make sure that the “My Photo Stream” feature is enabled and if it isn’t, tap on the slider to enable it.
Step #6 – To view all of your iPad’s photos on your iPhone X, launch the “Photos” application and open up the “Photo Stream” album. Within a few minutes, all of your photos will now be shown in that album.
Even though this method is faster than using AirPlay for most people, we still recommend that you use dr.fone – Switch if possible. By using dr.fone, you are guaranteed that none of your photos are corrupted or lost during the transfer process.
